Life Is Good Blog Award - Paying It Forward!

I'm honored to have been given the "Life Is Good" Award from Marsha's Spot!  I always feel warm and fuzzy inside when I receive such an award.  I'm glad that others are enjoying what I do here.

What a great way for me to start off the New Year!  Thanks SO much Marsha!

Here are the things you have to do when you receive this award:

1. First, thank and link back to the person that gave the award.
2. Answer the 10 survey questions.
3. Pass the award along to 5 - 10 other bloggers whom you think are fantastic.
4. Contact the bloggers you have chosen to let them know about the award.

1. If you blog anonymously, are you happy doing this? If you aren't anonymous, do you wish you started out anonymously, so that you could be anonymous now?

I have never been an "anonymous" blogger.  I think it's important to build relationships with other bloggers and it's nearly impossible to do that if you are doing so in an" anonymous" manner.  Besides, I have nothing to hide!

2. Describe an incident that shows your inner stubborn side.

I try not to be stubborn, the same ideal that I'm trying to teach my children as well.  However, I'm a lot OCD and I'm very stubborn when it comes to things having their "place!"  Everything has a place of its own for a reason, so we all know where to find it.  Do my husband and kids always put things back where they belong?  Absolutely not - but atleast I try to keep things in order!

3. What do you see when you really look at yourself in the mirror?

A mother and a wife that will go above and beyond to do everything she possibly can for her family.  A woman, who even though my husband tells me not too, puts the wants of my children (and husband) before the needs of myself.  My family is my life and I strive to make everything better for them!

4. What is your favorite summer cold drink?

It's a toss up between sweetened iced tea and ice cold lemonade!

5. When you take time for yourself, what do you do?

Time for myself?  I always thought that was a myth.  Seriously, I rarely take time out for myself.  Now that both of my kids are in school full days, I do so more often and have actually enjoyed it.  I joined Curves in September and go 3 - 4 times a week.  Other than the obvious, my blog and the internet.

6. Is there something that you still want to accomplish in your life?
Right now my main focus is on raising my children.  Raising them to be loving, caring and responsible adults.  Adults that will be confident and productive.  If I can do that, then my life would be complete.

7. When you attended school, were you the class clown, the class overachiever, the shy person, or always ditching?

I always enjoyed school and got great grades.  The first time I received straight A's was in 4th grade and every year after.  I was shy, but had a great group of friends.  From the day I started Kindergarten until the day I graduated, I only missed 4 days of school.  Two of which were due to chicken pox.

8. If you close your eyes and want to visualize a very poignant moment in your life, what would you see?
Without a doubt, becoming a mother.  Becoming a wife was a wonderful moment.  But nothing compares to the feeling of being a mom.  I'm a stay at home mom of two wonderful children.  I wouldn't change it for anything else in the world!

9. Is it easy for you to share your true self in your blog, or are you more comfortable writing posts about other people and events?

I have no problems sharing stories about my true self.  As a matter of fact, that's where I started, by sharing so many moments, photos and stories about my life and family.  I tend to keep this blog less personal, more about great deals, freebies, reviews and giveaways.  However, I have shared some "real life" stories with my readers.

10. If you had the choice to sit down and read a book or talk on the phone, which would you do and why?
Without a doubt, I'd rather talk on the phone.  My sister lives in New Mexico and I live in Idaho.  We talk on the phone atleast once a day, often times several times a day.  Even though my mom lives just 3 1/2 hours away, we usually talk on the phone every day as well.  To be totally honest, I can even remember the time I read a "grown up" book!  I do read children's books on a regular basis though.

Having accepted the Life Is Good award from Marsha, I am paying it forward to the following blogs:
