Money Savvy Piggy Bank Review and Giveaway

When I was growing up, my parents always made my siblings and I put atleast half of our money into our savings account.  It didn't matter if it was money we earned from doing chores, from working or birthday money.  We each had our own savings accounts for as long as I can remember, from a very young age.  I also remember thinking how stupid it was to be forced to save half of my money.  Besides, none of my friends had savings accounts.

As an adult, I began to realize and understand what a valuable and important life lesson my parents had taught us.  Being money savvy is essential.  Now, as a parent myself, I've taught my children that same important lesson about money, saving and spending.

My children are just 10 and 7 years old but have had a savings account since they were just a few months old.  As my parents did with me years ago, the majority of my children's money goes into a savings account or an investment CD.

The Money Savvy Piggy Bank is a brilliant learning tool that makes saving and spending visual to children. Children can easily see the cause and effect of both saving and spending with this cute little piggy bank.

Even better yet, the Money Savvy Piggy Bank makes saving FUN!  As a mom, I love the fact that this is both fun and educational.

Each Money Savvy Pig is seperated into four different sections.  Each section is labeled with a specific goal in mind: SAVE, SPEND, DONATE, and INVEST!

They also come with a sheet of stickers to remind you of what you are saving for.  Maybe a new car, vacation, family night out, local charity or a new pet.  Some of the stickers have pictures on them (earth, fish, MP3 player, present) and some of them are blank so you can create your own!  Eyes too (brown, blue and green)!

The Money Savvy Piggy Banks are available in six different colors: red, blue, pink, green, purple and platinum.  You can watch your money add up in these adorable transparent banks (except for the platinum pig).  Also available are the Money Savvy Cow and Money Savvy Football.

It's never too early to teach your children the value of money.

WIN IT:

ONE lucky Being Frugal and Making it Work reader is going to receive a Money Savvy Pig in the color of their choice (excludes Platinum).

  34. So cute. I learned they have a book series, a cash cache for teens, and other products for people of all ages. Awesome. I need to get some for myself. I'm terrible at saving money. Maybe I need to start at the kid level. Lol. They also have events to test kids smarts about money.
