My son is in 6th grade, and will be twelve years old next month. Girls have always liked him, and he's always been friends with them but never interested. He still thinks girls are "gross" and doesn't ever think he will have a girlfriend. As a mom, I'll take that for as long as I can!
A couple days ago, my son found this love poem in the bottom of his backpack after school.
Roses are red
Violets are blue
And when I dream...
I think of you!
Happy Valentine's Day!
Your Secret Admirer
Yesterday, after recess he found another cut-out heart and a bag of M&M's in his backpack. I wonder what he's going to come home with today?
I asked him if he had any idea who it might be... His response - "I can think of a few!" Oh boy! I guess all we can do is smile.
What did you get your sweetheart for Valentine's Day?
Awww, that's so sweet. Does he have any idea who the girl is?
ReplyDeleteThat's so cute! Someone sure is putting in a lot of effort, hopefully he notices!

Ooh I wonder who that secret admirer could be? ;) Glad he's taking it in stride. It's good that he has a healthy self esteem.
ReplyDeleteI should snag that & leave it on my hubby's pillow. I'm not ready for my son to like girls like they like him, but the girls here are pretty bold.
ReplyDeleteOhhhh that's so sweet!! I can't wait to hear if he got another gift today! Happy Valentine's Day!
ReplyDeleteAwwwww, young love is so adorable!
ReplyDeleteGrowing up! I don't know if I am ready for things like this. My daughter is 9. OhhH!
