Harlem Globetrotters "You Write The Rules" Tour 2013: Fun for the Entire Family!

We took our two children  to see the Harlem Globetrotters while they were in town this week.  My two children recently saw the Harlem Globetrotters on one of their favorite tv shows, and when we told them we were going to go watch them in person, my husband and I had to laugh.  Both kids asked... "What? I thought the Harlem Globetrotters were only on tv. They are real?"

This was the first for myself and my kids, while my husband had seem them more than 20 years ago.  Our friends joined us with their two children as well (the first time for them as well), and we enjoyed a fun family evening together!  The kids range in age from 9 years old to 15 years old, and each one of them enjoyed the show as much as the other.  Laughs and smiles lasted the entire show, from the adults as well!

The Harlem Globetrotters love seeing families laugh together during our games, and would love to see your family when they come to a city near you. If you're looking for an awesome event your whole family will enjoy, be sure to get your tickets to the Harlem Globetrotters "You Write the Rules" tour.

Your family's smiles will start before you even get to the game because this year, your family can vote at harlemglobetrotters.com, and decide the rules for the game like two balls in play at the same time that could affect the final outcome.

These are the special rules that were voted into play at the game we attended:

First Quarter: 4 point shot
Second Quarter: 2 balls in play
Third Quarter: double points for every basket
Fourth Quarter: 4 point shot

My 12 year old son was expecting a normal basketball game with a few trick shots.  The entire experience was nothing like he was expecting.  From beginning to end, the kids were engaged and focused on what was going on out on the court!  They were laughing non-stop and as a parent the entire experience was priceless!

After the game, your favorite Globetrotters will stay on the court to sign autographs and take photographs with your kids. The only thing better than finding an event the whole family will enjoy, is getting a great deal on it.

The kids asked Titan how tall he was... his response, 7 feet!
It's been almost a week since we attended the show and the kids are still talking (and laughing) about the great night we had!  In fact, they have already asked if we can go to the show again next year!  Get ready to experience a show your family will remember for a lifetime!

  6. I saw them as a child and still remember how much fun it was. No autographs or photos then. That makes it extra-special.

  7. We saw these guys when I was in middle school. It was so fun! I don't know if my girls would like it now, but maybe when they're older.
