We have more than our fair share of pinecones in our yard, they seem to be never-ending! My kids have always enjoyed making pinecone bird feeders. I thought the kids would make one or two each but
they ended up making a total of 10! They were having so much fun that they
didn't want to stop! Not only did the kids have a blast, but they were so easy
for them to make! I gave them each a spoon and they got busy.
Here's how to make a pinecone bird feeder:
Take a pinecone and cover it
with peanut butter, then roll it in bird seed. Tie a string around the top of
the pinecone and hang it. Simple, easy, done!
Let's add the peanut butter
Spooning on the peanut butter
Still need more peanut butter
Let's add the bird seed
WOW, look at them now
Hanging out for the birds
Have you ever made a pinecone bird feeder with your child?
My kids might finally be old enough to do this this year. Looking forward to a fun summer :)
