Dessert in 90 Seconds: Shirley J Mugging (Cake in a Mug) Mixes - Review & Giveaway (Holiday Gift Guide)

Admit it... dessert is the most delicious meal of the day!  Would you believe me if I told you that you could have chocolate cake, peach cobbler or brownies ready from start to finish in just 90 seconds?

That's right! From the microwave to your mouth in less than two minutes!  When I was recently asked to try out the new single-serving mug mixes from Shirley J, I couldn't wait for them to arrive!  I was told that I'd be receiving a variety of flavors - but I had no idea what I was about to experience!

Shirley J Mugging (cake in a mug) mixes are a brand new baking concept, at home in your own microwave in 90 seconds.  They are the perfect single-serving desserts. Oh, did I mention that they only require water!?

The most difficult decision after they arrived was choosing which one to try first.  So, since we are a family of 4, we made four different varieties and sampled all of them.

Shirley J Mugging mug mixes are available in eight delicious flavors:

  • Walnut Bread
  • Quiche in a Cup
  • No-Pan Pancake
  • Pumpkin Spice Bread
  • Chocolate Brownie Cake
  • Country Style Cornbread
  • Gluten-Free Chocolate Brownie Cake
  • Old-Fashioned Yellow Cake and Cobbler

We made a chocolate brownie cake, walnut bread,old-fashioned yellow cake and cobbler with blueberries on top!  Let me just say that they were all hot, moist, and tasted like they were made from scratch!

Shirley J Mugging (Cake in a Mug) Mixes are easy to make.  So easy that my kids (9 and 12) have so much fun making their own desserts!  All they need is a large mug and a few spoonfuls of water...

Take a look on their faces and you can see that they were a huge hit in our house!
