Veterans Day: A Letter of Thanks to a Veteran - Dear Grandpa!

Last week my daughter's fourth grade class wrote letters to Veterans to show their thanks and support.  Their teacher asked them to write a letter to a serviceman that they knew who has served our country and mail it to them.

My daughter chose to write a letter to my Dad, her Pa!  He served in the Army and was stationed in Germany in the early 70's.

Here is the letter that she wrote:

Dear Pa,

I just wanted to thank you for serving in the war.  I do not know how to thank you enough for all of your sacrifice.  I bet you missed your family and friends back at home.  I would also like to thank you for risking your life to save all of the others.

The last thing I want to thank you for is your bravery.  You have to be super brave to go to the war.  Happy Veterans Day!

Sincerely,

Your Granddaughter
Stephy

I thought it was so cute and sincere, and I know that it is going to bring a smile to his face when he reads it!
