Tis' The Season for Ugly Christmas Sweater Parties! (Review & Giveaway)

Christmas is right around the corner... and that means Ugly Christmas Sweater parties!  Another favorite holiday staple is the Grinch - so why not combine the two?  I can't tell you that making my choice was easy, because it took me quite some time, but I am certainly happy with my choices again this year!

If you remember The Grinch and My Ugly Christmas Sweater from last year, you might remember that my daughter ended up stealing my Ugly Christmas Sweater and I only didn't get to wear it as often as I would have liked! I even said in my review last year, "Looks like I will have to do a little more shopping and get her one of her own!" and that's exactly what I did this year!

I absolutely loved my Ugly Christmas sweater from last year!  It was thick, soft and colorful.  The design was very bold and detailed.  My daughter and I got many comments and compliments on it!  It really is an eye-catcher! It's been washed several times and still looks brand new! I have no doubt that the Ugly Christmas Sweaters we got this year will be the same!  

We all know that being a Grinch isn't what the holidays is suppose to be about, but I think we can all relate and love him at the same time! Am I right?  That's why I chose another Grinch sweater this year... the Grinch Face Ugly Christmas Sweater.  It is even cooler in person that it is on the website.  I absolutely love it!

Two Times Zones, One Watch ~ Unique Wooden Watch (Review)

Our son has been away at college since mid-August, and he is literally all the way across the United States.  He is in a different time zone and at times it's easy to forget that. We can't just pick up the phone and talk to each other any time we want... 

He wants to call us at 6:00 am as he's walking to class, but that's 3:00 am back home!  We're out doing something and want to call and ask him a question or just talk and it's 7:00 pm here, but it's 10:00 pm for him!  I've gotten a couple 3:30 am phone calls and texts, but I'm not complaining at all!

Summer is finally here!  That means having fun, spending time outdoors, and creating family memories that will last a lifetime.  One of our family's favorite summer activities is going to Silverwood Theme Park and Boulder Beach Water Park.   

Located in beautiful North Idaho, Silverwood Theme Park is the Pacific Northwest's largest theme park, with over 70 rides, slides, shows and attractions, including four roller coasters, Boulder Beach Water Park, a steam engine train ride through the woods, live entertainment, magic shows, restaurants, and so much more. 

The great thing about having a theme park and a water park at the same location... Silverwood Theme Park + Boulder Beach Water Park = one admission price = both parks!   The park has five main areas: Main Street, Country Carnival, Coaster Alley, Garfield's Summer Camp and Boulder Beach Water Park!

For 11 straight years, we purchased season passes to Silverwood for our family for Christmas. We only live about 15 minutes away, so it is the perfect summer time activity for our family.  As our children got older and started participating in sports and other activities, it wasn't as easy for us to enjoy it as much and as often. 

The carousel is just inside the main gate at the entrance of the park.  From the time our kids were little (1 1/2 years old), they knew that this ride was our very last stop in the park before heading home.  It made it easy to leave the park this way - no fits!  Now at ages 15 and 12, we still ride the carousel once or twice before heading home - it's a tradition!

We love the rides and water slides, but we also love the variety of other fun activities like the magic show, train robbery on the steam engine ride, seeing the bison, and the adorable and friendly mascots; Garfield and Odie!  Even though my children weren't always fond of them (they can be quite intimidating for the little ones), Garfield and Odie are always happy to pose for photos, give hugs, hand shakes, and high 5's!

Thermal Laminator Machine (Review)

I've been talking about wanting a thermal laminator for quite some time now but just haven't gotten one.  I was recently given the opportunity to receive a Jieze laminator as a member of Tomoson and jumped at the chance!

 

I liked that it had the extra width and could laminate larger sheets - up to 12 inches and had both cold and hot settings.
